Stop the Presses!

by

I know that I normally save all of the news to report it later in the week, but this just couldn’t wait. The Official Doctor Who Site is reporting that there will be an extra special scene appearing in the Children in Need show this year on 16 November 2007. Written by the fabulous Steven Moffat and called “Time Crash,” this scene will feature both David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor!

Please pardon me while I squee. (And run around the house annoying my husband with my evil laughter.) I’ll bet they heard me in Hawaii just then.

I have been dying for a multiple Doctor episode since the new show started. A small scene like the ones that appear in the Children in Need show is just perfect. It will be just the sort of homage to the classic show that I have been looking for. Although I would still like to see a full episode featuring maybe…the eighth Doctor, this announcement makes me giddy. And it’s even written by Steven Moffat. What more could you ask for? I mean seriously.

Now I’m bristling with questions. Will the Fifth Doctor have a companion with him? Will the Tenth Doctor have a companion with him? How will they explain the situation? I wonder who they have directing it. Euros Lyn, maybe? Oh, it’s a good thing I have that week off of work. Apparently, more information will be forthcoming as the date draws closer. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything new.

Yes!

Like you I have been dying for a multiple Doctor episode. Maybe this installment will pave the way for other such adventures in the future. Mr. Davidson looks great does he not? Okay so he is not as young looking as he did when he had the part, but he is far more recogniseable than Colin Baker is today.

Oh btw I highly reconmend to anyone seeking more 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th Doctor stories to seek out the Big Finish Audio Productions. The stories are quite good and through the magic of audio no one has aged a day.

Well, lisa-marie, there’s always YouTube. Don’t worry. I’ll post it when I find it.

Now, all we need to do is take over BBCAmerica…

  5. Toby Miller Says:

That sounds great, although Peter Davidson was my second least favourite doctor. Does anyone know when it will be shown in Australia?

  6. Elisa Says:

Toby, do they show Children in Need over there? You may have to wait for the 4th series DVDs…or rely on YouTube if they don’t. The Catherine Tate/David Tennant bit from last year was on YouTube fairly quickly. Thanks for stopping by!
