Reaction Post: The Sarah Jane Adventures - The Last Sontaran (part 1)

Series two of The Sarah Jane Adventures is finally here. (Well, in the UK anyway.) It’s nice to have our crew back. Let’s get to it, shall we?
This is the Reaction Post for The Sarah Jane Adventures series two - The Last Sontaran (part 1).
As per usual, my rambling reactions to this episode are hidden behind the spoiler barrier. Click if you dare.
Alan got a job in America? Argh! I don’t want them to leave. *sniffle* (Mind you, I’d heard about this, but still.) Poor Maria! What a choice she has to make.
Mr. Smith’s reaction to Sarah Jane asking him about a sense of humor was hilarious. Interesting to see Clyde and Luke using Mr. Smith to play video games. Not something that I ever expected to see.
Uh oh. I hope that Lucy is alright. This doesn’t look promising. I was really amused by the Chemist vs. Astronomer conversation at the beginning, though.
This Sontaran survived the explosion of his ship. I suppose that he doesn’t realize that is was actually not the Doctor who blew it up in the end. Poor Sarah Jane. She keeps running across those darn potato heads. And really, I hope that she didn’t get shot. None of her friends are going to take too kindly to that.
Okay. I’m going to go watch part 2, now. I’m really worried about what will happen next, as I didn’t see Sarah Jane in the previews for next time. Yes, her name is on the show, but still…most worrying.

I thought the episode was a very good one for all concerned, especially when Alan had to tell Mr. Smith that he “needed him”.
Does anyone know if the astonomer and his daughter are joining the cast?

I loved that part, too, The Vig. And no, sadly they will not be joining the cast as far as I know.
