Question: Wishes for the New Year in the Whoniverse?

Last year at this time I posted a list of Wishes for the Whoniverse in 2007. Before I move on to my wishes for this year, let’s have a bit of a review (and thus help me get over my shock at how long I’ve been doing this.)

The Wishes for 2007:

Wish #1: I wish that Torchwood will be picked up by a channel in The States. - Granted! Not only did BBCAmerica play series one, series two is coming this month.

Wish #2: I wish that The Sarah Jane Adventures and behind the scenes shows like Doctor Who Confidential would actually make it across the pond. - Sadly, there has, as yet, been no sign of Sarah Jane’s new show in the US. Some PBS stations are showing versions of the Doctor Who Confidentials, but that’s about it.

Wish #3: I wish that we find out what happened to The Doctor’s granddaughter, Susan. - Still no word on Susan. It’s probably safe to assume that she’s dead, but I’d still like to know for sure.

Wish#4: I wish that we will actually get to see another room in the TARDIS beyond the Control Room and a few seconds of a Dressing Room. - Still nothing on this front. Sigh.

Well, I got one out of four. Not too terrible all things considered.

So, what are my wishes for 2008? Well, really I still want the things that I wished for last year and didn’t receive. But apart from that…

Wishes for the Whoniverse in 2008:

Wish #1: I wish that they will handle the return of Rose well. Let’s just leave it at that.

Wish #2: I wish that Steven Moffat will pen another episode this series. I’ve heard that we have Helen Raynor is writing a two-parter, Gareth Roberts is writing the Agatha Christie episode, and obviously Russell T. Davies is writing the first episode. I haven’t heard any other names as yet, so I’m hoping for Mr. Moffat.

Wish #3: I wish for episodes by Paul Cornell and Mark Gatiss as well. Hey. It’s my wish list. I may wish for whatever takes my fancy.

Wish #4: I wish for a more even series of Torchwood. I just want it to remain well written, consistent, and interesting. Is that too much to ask? I suppose I’ll find out soon.

I’ve told you about my wishes, now it’s your turn. What are your wishes for the Whoniverse in 2008?

Wish #2 granted - Steven Moffat is doing a 2 parter this time.

Yay! That was a quick wish granting. I hope that bodes well for the rest of them in the new year.

    Thanks!

  3. Aline Says:

I’d like to see The Rani.

  4. Elisa Says:

Who would you like to play The Rani, Aline?
