Question: Who Should Play a Companion?

Today I offer you a moment of dreaming. A time of speculation. A chance to pretend that you are one of those British newspapers who have been making up stories. Er…yeah. You know what I mean. At some point in the next couple of years another Companion is likely to join the TARDIS crew, if only for a couple of episodes. Who would you like it to be? Or, to put it the long way: Who would you like to see play a companion on Doctor Who at some point in the future? There is a much larger spectrum of possibility for theoretical companions. They don’t have to be British. They could be male or female. Come on, set that imagination free! As usual, I offer you a selection of folks to get you started. Go for it.
Who will live La Vida TARDIS?
- Graham Norton (probably on a Christmas Special.)
- Summer Glau (She’s been in Firefly…why not?)
- Charlie Cox (From Stardust.)
- Erik Hoard (Because that would be just cool.)
- Zooey Deschanel (From Hitchhiker’s Guide.)
- Dominic Monahan (He’s done film and TV…)
- Anne Hathaway (She’d do a great job.)
- Kate Beckinsale (From Underworld.)
- Daniel Radcliffe (Now *that* I’d like to see.)
- Miranda Otto (From LoTR.)
Now, while I’d like to see all of the folks on my list appear on Doctor Who (especially Erik) I’m going to have to choose Anne Hathaway. Mind you, it would be even cooler to see more than one of them in the same season. I just think that she would have a lot of fun, and it would be interesting to see how she does playing in a Sci Fi tv show. My second choice would be Daniel Radcliffe, and my third remains Erik. Ooo…how about an ultimate Christmas special with everyone in it?
Okay, I’ve made my choice. Who would you pick?

Miranda Otto - far too long since there was an Aussie in the Tardis.

Well, if I were to be totally honest, I would like to have a part on the show
Granted that is highly improbable, but one can dream.

Gillian, Miranda would be fun.
The Vig, by that logic…why not all of us? The TARDIS is big enough, yeah?

You are a very wise woman in your choice.
And if I were in the TARDIS, then I think Kate Beckinsale should be, too, haha.
Anna Friel would also be a ball. Think of the fun Alan Rickman would be? Oh, and if Summer is there, it would be reeeaaalllyyy interesting if it was as River Tam. While we’re on that train of thought, wouldn’t the Doctor & Jayne be an interesting pair?

Erik, have you read any of the Firefly/Doctor Who fanfiction? Some of it is so spot on it’s scary. And when you are a companion, I expect you to pop by and take me for a spin.
