Question: What Are You Doing This Friday? (American Version)

By now most of you know that The Family of Blood will not be appearing this Friday on your screens in the USA. That’s right. Just as we encountered during the series when it ran in the UK, (though…it’s not because of the Eurovision song contest) this coming week there will be a week without Who. Whatever shall we do? Actually, that is my question this week. What will you be doing this Friday when Doctor Who is normally on? Are you going to spend the time reading the book online? Will you watch the Stargate marathon instead? Are you going to just sit around and pout? What will you be up to? As usual, I offer you an array of suggestions for how you might spend your time…just in case you don’t yet have a plan.

Some suggestions for your Friday:

  • Watching old episodes on DVD.
  • Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.
  • Mourning the closing of Outpost Gallifrey *sniffle*.
  • Having a nice relaxing soak while I read A Introduction to Statistical Thermodynamics.
  • Working on building a sonic screwdriver for my sweetie.
  • Finishing up my time travel device so I can skip to *next* Friday…and watch the episode.
  • Using the extra time to work on my plan to take over the world, Doctor.
  • Studying Block Transfer Computations and Happy Numbers.
  • I’ll be in my blue…shed working on rewiring the time stab…er…potting some plants. Yeah. Look! Zeppelins!
  • Having a nice cup of tea. Superheated infusion of free radicals and tannins, you know.

What? You want to know what I’m going to be doing on Friday? Well, obviously I’ll be having a nice cup of tea. Tea is good for you. I might also be doing something boring like cleaning my office. Having a dirty secret lair is just not the done thing these days, you know. Plus, I can’t seem to find my psychic paper.

No. That isn’t a TARDIS in my back yard. It’s a perfectly ordinary garden shed. Honestly. Lots of sheds have lights on the top.

What will you be up to this Friday?

    Dragoncon? Lucky!

    Cyndi, wise choice.

  4. The Vig Says:

A friend of mine just introduced his family to the new doctor who series, and now his son is pretending to be a dalek! I think I will be spending the day happy to know the next generation has discovered the show.

  5. Elisa Says:

His son can reverse the polarity of the neutron flow for you. :)
