Question: Most Unusual Doctor Who Tie-In?

by Elisa

Keeping with the Tie-in theme that I have going lately, this week I would like to know: What is the most unusual Doctor Who Tie-In (official or fan made) that you have encountered? There are some really…er…interesting things out there. Car signs that say “Mrs. David Tennant” on them, for example. Those strike me as a bit…stalkerish. Don’t you agree? (Anyway, his name is really “David McDonald.” “David Tennant” is his stage name, so those signs aren’t all that accurate. What? Oh, sorry. Back on topic.) What have you seen in your travels across the ‘net? As usual, I offer you a few gems that I am forced to wonder about. Some are cool, some make you very curious about where they came from. Well, here we go.

Some Esoteric Tie-ins:

I really have to go with the thong as the most unusual tie-in. There are some really cool and random tie-ins out there. I mean, hello? Skateboard? Shower Radio? But the thong just weirds me out a wee bit. What unusual tie-ins have you encountered? Do you agree with me on the infamous thong? Let me know.

I agree with you Elisa - The thong is just tooooo weird. And stalkerish. Makes you wonder what the ladies wearing it have in mind.

  2. Vioga Says:

The thong looks like a mock up, I ‘m guessing that its not officially licensed.

Wait until the full size remote control Dalek comes out later this year, that will be a best seller and will only cost around £100.

    Cheers the noo

  3. Cloudy Says:

I think I’m in love with David Tennant, and seeing as you are the purveyor of everything Dr Who, which David Tennant is… I’m tagging you with a meme. Write 7 facts about yourself and tag 7 others to do the same, and as a reward, Dave will give you some pics we took of a Dr Who Exhibition while we were on holiday ;)

    X Cloudy.

  4. Elisa Says:

    Cloudy!
    Ack. I’ve been tagged!

Wait. You two actually went to the exhibition? Oh, feel the envy. For pictures, I’ll do it.

  5. Elisa Says:

MKE, It just makes me a bit worried for David. Crazed fangirls are no joke.

Voga, Hi! Thanks for the great service on my socks and mobile charm. Yeah, the thong is fan made. Full Size remote control Dalek? How tall will that be?

  6. MKEJenkins Says:

That’s what I meant Elisa. Crazy fangirls with his name or their tusch? Eeewwwwweh! Hope he has good security. And a girlfriend with a good right hook…

Full sized remote control Dalek? Now THAT would be a heck of a lot of fun a parties! No more need to hire a bouncer…

  7. Elisa Says:

Well, he’s dating the girl who played Mme de Pompadour, so…draw your own conclusion from that. Here’s hoping that folks behave themselves.
