Happy Birthday, Tom Baker!
![]()
Happy Birthday to Tom Baker, otherwise known as the Fourth Doctor. Tom Baker played the part of The Doctor from 1974 to 1981 and, in a recent popularity poll, his Doctor came in second only to the current incarnation. His version of The Doctor is most often remembered for his long scarf, big smile, and his curly hair. He was born on this day in 1934. 73 years old, and still going strong. Many Happy Returns, Mr. Baker!

I must say, as much as I adore Christopher and David, Tom was, is and always shall be my Doctor.
Happy birthday, Tom.

I’m still working on getting the materials together for that scarf. Tom Baker was my first Doctor.

As I said, don’t forget the scarf is 22 feet long!
Tom’s the one who got me hooked. I started off having discovered one of Terrance Dick’s books - and it went from there.

At this rate I’m going to have to order the scarf yarn online. I’m only 5 feet tall…I’m gonna get lost in 22 feet of scarf. Oh, well.
