Doctor Who Masks

The Vig, a frequent commenter here, was kind enough to pass along a link to a company that makes Doctor Who Masks. Not cheap plastic things, mind you. The real thing. Yes, that also means that they are really expensive. The Cybercontroller mask is a limited edition, and features illuminated eyes, mouth…and brain. The Clockwork Droid masks seem to be the least expensive of the lot. I think one of those would look fabulous on my wall…someday when I win the lottery. Coming in Spring 2007 are Ood masks. Apparently, the originals were made of foam latex rubber, and MFX Replicas would like to offer an Ood mask that is more durable. Foam latex rubber apparently disintegrates over time, and especially when exposed to sunlight. So, there you go. You can now be a Doctor Who baddie for your next costume party. (FYI, these masks are only available to people living in the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada.)

This really makes me want to get off my butt and finish figuring out how to make neoprene masks, because I just can’t afford these, though I covet them.

Covet is right. Good luck with your own masks!
