Doctor Who Animated

This is going to require a bit of background, so bear with me. Okay. There is a show that started last year in the UK called Totally Doctor Who. It’s the sort of show where they interview folks from Doctor Who, go behind the scenes, have trivia challenges, etc. No, no one has read my New Year’s Wish List and decided to show Totally Doctor Who in the USA. Sigh. Anyway, during season two of Totally Doctor Who they are going to be showing a 13-part animated adventure called The Infinite Quest featuring The Doctor and his new companion Martha Jones. Anthony Head will guest star as a new character named “Baltazar - Scourge of the Galaxy.” So…apparently I’m only mentioning this because of the cool factor, as it will not be available in the USA unless 1)Totally Doctor Who comes to our screens for some reason, or 2) It’s on the season 3 DVD set. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, either way. It sounds like it would be fun to watch. Auntie Beeb? May we please see this animated adventure? (Asking never hurts…)

So, are they going to be doing like the Doctor Who magazine and have original stories in comic form running along side the show? I wonder if they’ll always keep the companion the same, or do like the strips did and have original ones. Heck, penguins seem to be the “in” animal now, I wonder if Frobisher will reappear.

I think I have those DWMs. It’s a 13 part adventure with The Doctor and Martha. One part for each episode of Totally Doctor Who. Did you read the website’s article?

[...] Back in January I mentioned that season 2 of Totally Doctor Who (which is still not being shown in The States) was going to feature a 13 part animated series featuring The Doctor and Martha. Well, the first episode of Totally Doctor Who played in the UK on Monday, and with it The Infinite Quest has also begun. Now, unless the BBC decides to include this animated feature on the Doctor Who series 3 DVD it may never appear in many places around the world. Well, unless you count YouTube. Part 1 of The Infinite Quest, courtesy of YouTube is behind the spoiler barrier. Enjoy! [...]
