UNIT Recruitment Film

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Yes, I’ve been surfing YouTube again, and look what I have for you this time. It’s a UNIT recruitment film, partially narrated by Nicholas Courtney, himself. Apparently it was made in 1993 as part of the Doctor Who 30th anniversary celebration. Enjoy!

2008 San Diego Comic-Con Photos

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

My fabulous field reporter, and frequent commenter, Erik recently made a trip to San Diego Comic-Con. I’m told that he had a really good time. (No. No envy here. Hey! Is that a zeppelin? *sneaks away*) While he was there, he was kind enough to get a few photographs for us.

Thanks, Erik!

It would seem that The Prisoner likes to hang out with Doctors. I seem to recall seeing that Second Doctor over at Gallifrey One.

David Tennant’s Hamlet

David Tennant’s Hamlet has made it to CNN. Complete with one minor error, of course. (Remember that RTD said that the gap year was planned? David got to do Hamlet because of the gap year. They didn’t pause for a year so that he could do Hamlet.) I really hope that they film this for those of us who can’t be there. It’s very sold out, after all. (You can read some reviews here.)

John Barrowman recently participated in a show called The Making of Me. For the show, he went on a quest to discover why he was gay. Was it nature or nurture? If you are interested in going on this journey with him, head over to Youtube.

Both David Tennant and John Barrowman have made it to TVGuide.com’s list of The Sexiest Sci-Fi Stars! John came in at number 9, and David came in at 7 out of 15. Good to know that there are other folks out there that agree with me.

You all remember that Billie Piper is pregnant, right? Well, if you want to see a couple of (sort of stalkery) pictures of her…go here. You’re looking good there, Billie!

And finally…an extended trailer for the next Christmas Special (as shown at Comic-Con…and filmed there then put up on YouTube.)

Torchwood Crew at Comic-Con

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Many thanks to the person who uploaded this to Youtube.

This is the very beginning of the Torchwood panel at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring John Barrowman, Julie Gardner, Gareth David-Lloyd, and Naoko Mori. It’s just the part where everyone comes out on stage, but I thought that I’d post it for those of us who are not in San Diego. Le Sigh. Oh, and just to let you know, apparently John’s family and his Partner were there.

The Master to Return?

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

master.jpg

So, Eric J, it looks like your dream may yet come true. A new rumour is making the rounds currently the The Master is due to return during season 3. (Maybe the last Dalek pulls him through time? Who knows?) Metro.co.uk is running an article that claims that The Master will re-appear during the third series in a major plot twist. The current favorite seems to be an actor by the name of John Simm. SyFy Portal is also carrying the story, with a few possible spoilers for series three in the article. Now, there is as yet no mention of this on the BBC Doctor Who Website… So, I guess that we’ll just have to see what happens. (Actually, this rumor isn’t all that new. It was around last season. It’s the addition of John Simm that is new.)
