Jelly Babies!
Over the weekend, I wrote a guest post for Gillian over at Food History (it should appear tomorrow, if you’re interested) and it got me to thinking about the relationship between Doctor Who and food. For me, the major relationship between food and Doctor Who is Jelly Babies. But I’ve seen all kinds of things out there on the web. From Gingerbread Daleks to a Doctor Who cake.
Actually, come to think of it, the food item that I associate most with Doctor Who is tea. It’s good for what ails you, right? And I recently discovered those Doctor Who-related teas, remember? I still wonder what the Doctor’s favorite kind of tea is. Something common and tasty like PG Tips or something more exotic?
This brings me to the crux of this post. What sort of Doctor Who-related foods have you encountered? K-9 cookies? Cybermen cakes? Sonic Screwdrivers made of tootsie rolls? (And please let me know if you know where I can find recipes. I need something to go with my tea.)
