A Quest for The Doctor Who Magazine

Recently, I decided that I needed to read the Doctor Who Magazine more regularly. At first, I considerd subscribing. Then, I went over to Amazon.com and got a good look at the subscription price. I was shocked by what I saw. $131.54?? I don’t think so. I love Doctor Who, but I just don’t have that kind of money lying around. Next step? Go forth into the world on a quest for the magazine here in the San Francisco Bay Area. That way, I can support a local business, and I only have to pay about $8 each time. Well…I have been to Borders, Barnes and Noble (I was there anyway looking for a different magazine), and Lee’s Comics in San Mateo. Nothing yet. I know that A-1 Comics in Roseville has the magazine, but that’s two and a half hours away. Does anyone have suggestions for where I might look? Thank you in advance for any leads. I will keep you apprised of my quest.

Is “Comics & Comics” still in Palo Alto? It may be a drive, but they are usually pretty well stocked. I’m afraid I’m out of touch woth comic shops up there, but they would be your best bet.

I’m not sure. Thanks for the heads up.
Lee’s has nothing.

If you’re still looking, go to “Comic Relief” in Berkeley. They were carrying Doctor Who Magazine even when the series was off-air, so they should have it now for sure.

P.S., you can also get your local comic shop to order it just for you every month. Most of them are open to that, I think. Good luck!
